What was the last dream you had?

How's the weather?

I have in my head the names of my heroine and hero of my next original story: Daria Westbrook and Simon Chevalier.

Unfortunately, I have absolutely no clue what their story is. They haven't told me yet.

I do know what Simon looks like, though. Daria is still a mystery.

I would really like my brain to focus on Charleigh and Duncan, or Mariah and Jace, or Risa and Brandon. Really. Any of them would be fabulous. I know their stories, I'm just having a hella time trying to tell them.

As for my BtVS/HL crossover attempt...weeell, let's just say that my insecurities have reared their ugly heads and I'm not sure if I'll get anywhere with it. I'd like to think I will.

I have some vague ideas running around in the labyrinth that is my brain for some drabble-type things, but haven't had a chance to try and catch them.

There is also a poem wanting to be written. I believe it is called Skin.

I think I will spend tomorrow trying to write.

I spent today transferring the rest of Kindred: The Embraced and season 3 of Eureka to DVD. I'm sad that Kindred didn't last longer. It had a lot of potential. Eureka broke my heart, but I'm hoping it won't be permanent.

Starting immediately after "Elephant's Memory" and running beyond the end of "Lo-fi", this is a multi-chaptered, non-WIP fic.

George W. Bush has launched a new assault on birth control and reproductive freedom.

The Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) recently proposed regulations that could seriously undermine access to basic reproductive health services -- including birth control and abortion.

Instead of striking a careful balance between individual religious liberty and patients’ access to reproductive health care, the Bush administration has taken patients’ rights and their health care needs out of the equation.

This far-reaching proposal doesn’t need congressional approval. But, it can’t go forward without allowing for public comment. That’s where you come in.

The deadline for public comments is fast approaching -- September 20 -- and we have to generate intense opposition to these dangerous regulations.

I just sent HHS my comment urging them to stop efforts to block women's access to basic reproductive health services. You can do the same here:
